De Jong & Laan and CROP accountants & advisers have announced plans to join forces. This strategic move will strengthen both organisations’ position in the Dutch market for accountancy and advisory services. By combining expertise and networks, the range of services will be both broadened and deepened. This will enable the nationally operating organisation to provide even more targeted support to clients and build sustainable growth. This collaboration is subject to approval by the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (“ACM”).

The collaboration will result in clear mutual reinforcement, both geographically and in terms of service provision. CROP accountants & advisers is adding five offices: Hoofddorp, Utrecht, Amersfoort, Ede and Arnhem. With over 350 colleagues, the organisation offers a wide range of services, including audit & assurance, accountancy & advisory, tax services, HR services, interim & recruitment, legal services and corporate finance.

The merger with Jong & Laan is in line with CROP accountants & advisers’ ambition to achieve further and accelerated growth with a strategic partner. Clients can continue to count on the trusted, high quality and service they are accustomed to, whilst at the same time benefiting from broader expertise and stronger national representation. By joining forces, both parties will be able to respond even more effectively to market developments.

André Bootsma, Chairman of the Board and CEO of CROP: “This proposed collaboration contributes to broader expertise and service provision for our clients. It also has a positive impact on growth opportunities for our staff and on the technological development and innovation of our organisation. Together, we are increasing our effectiveness and creating new opportunities for development.”

Through this partnership, de Jong & Laan strengthens its presence in the Randstad and the central Netherlands, and the organisation grows to over 1,700 colleagues. The personal, committed and pragmatic culture of CROP accountants & advisers ensures a good cultural fit and also aligns seamlessly with de Jong & Laan’s long-term vision.
