Cookie statement
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that contains information. If you visit our website, the website will place cookies on your computer, tablet or phone. This allows the website to remember which pages you have viewed and what data you have entered.
What does CROP use cookies for?
CROP uses cookies for various purposes. For example:
- To make the website work. Some cookies are needed to remember preferences. These cookies are called functional cookies.
- To improve the website. For example, a cookie can see which pages have been frequently or rarely visited. These cookies are called analytical cookies.
- To obtain marketing-related insights. This is done with tracking cookies. These can measure your activities across different online platforms. These cookies have the most impact on your privacy.
Why does CROP ask for my permission?
Because our website can place tracking cookies on your device, this affects your privacy. According to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Dutch Telecommunications Act, in which the European ePrivacy Directive is implemented, we need your permission for this. No cookies that affect your privacy may be placed without your permission.
When you first visit the CROP website, you will receive a cookie notification where you can indicate your preferences. Functional and analytical cookies are on by default and tracking cookies are off. Should you wish to change your preferences later, you can do so by accessing the permission management screen from the bottom-right corner on the CROP website. There you will also find more information about the types of cookies we use.
If you want more general information about how cookies work and your rights, you can find relevant government information through this webpage of ACM ConsuWijzer.
